Live search has been integrated into facebook along with other twitter like services such as SMS integration. Facebooks recent acquisition of Friendfeed has also helped to bolster the sites technical prowess and cross device capabilities.

Google has arrived into the fray as only Google can with Caffeine, Google’s new Live Search Engine.

Caffeine is faster and more ‘accurate’ than standard Google search, no longer relying on Google’s trawled index, it live searches the net to retrieve your search results.

The new services is still in development and lacks some of the standard Google universal indexes of images and video, which have become prevalent in recent times.

The service has large SEO implications as it relies heavily on keywords, the technology is in its infancy and many online sources believe it is an attempt to quell the recent Bing related buzz, which Microsoft have been enjoying.

You can demo Caffeine and although it appears to be identical to ’standard’ Google it is shockingly fast and appears to be highly accurate.
