Projection Mapping

Projection Mapping is a new and extremely visual technique being used by some major brands of late.
At a basic level Projection Mapping allows for projected animations to be superimposed over buildings and objects.
Nokia employed a version of this technology in Covent Garden, London for their launch of Ovi Maps Platform in April. Adding an extra dimension by allowing passers by to interact and become part of the projection themselves.
On a far more epic scale Sony used a large scale version of this technology to project over an entire castle in the UK to promote the new Iron Man 2 soundtrack.
Projection Mapping is still quite new and it will be interesting to see how it advances in coming months, watch this space.
