Vote for the Children! New AIB Better Ireland TV

Here’s our new TV ad for AIB to promote their Better Ireland programme, which went on air this week.
AIB is once again giving away over €1.8 million to deserving children’s charities around Ireland. Each of AIB’s 182 branches has €10,000 to give away to 3 shortlisted causes in their area.

To make this commercial, we travelled around Ireland filming some of the winning groups who benefited from funding from the 2009 Better Ireland Programme.

Lyons puts the Talk into Tea

We’re delighted to unveil the first TV ad from the new “Lyons puts the Talk into Tea” campaign, called “Footie Talk.”

Lyons Tea – Footie Talk

It’s Rothco’s first work to launch for Lyons since we started working with this iconic Unilever brand in late 2009. The coming weeks and months will see the campaign continue to roll out, with further TV executions, outdoor and online elements working together to highlight the many topics Irish people talk about over a cup of Lyons tea!

The Rothco team were creatives Rob Murray and Jude Healy; creative director Damian Hanley; client service team Zara Flynn & Richard Carr, and agency producer Margaret Levingstone. The TV ad was directed by Stephen St Leger and produced by Jack Armstrong at H2 Films, with post-production by Windmill Lane and sound by Reelgood.

A huge thanks to our clients Claire Blackadder, Emma Reynolds and Liz Finlay in Unilever.

Guinness 250

Guinness 250

Yesterday evening at 17:59 saw the launch of the Guinness 250, with drinks promotions, live music and a global celebration of the 250th anniversary of the black stuff.

Dublin was a buzz with pubs hosting ‘Arthur’s Day’ parties and a global link up for an around the world toast.

Music events were held in Dublin, New York, Nigeria, Cameroon and Malaysia.

The Manchester Irish Festival has teamed with Guinness to launch their 5 day Trad festival, in conjunction with the 250 celebrations.

Lawrence Hennigan the marketing executive of the Manchester Irish Festival website said “The festival will feature Art, Culture, Comedy, Community, Dance, Music, Sport and Theatre events, making it one of Europe’s biggest Irish Festivals.

We have tried to include something for everyone to enjoy in the community and a warm Irish welcome awaits all our visitors.”

All in all a fantastic campaign from a truly iconic Irish Brand.

Asylum 626

Asylum 626 another excellent online video campaign from Doritos, we recently blogged about the Doritos ID3 Campaign running in the UK last month.

This month sees a US take on a similar style of site, welcome to Asylum 626.

Asylum 626

The site sets the scene very well with very little dialogue and lots of ambient sound and creepy visuals as you are dragged through the Asylum.

Asylum 626 Scary

Very few sites could actually be described as scary, the Asylum is reminiscent of old hammer horror films with a touch of Capcom’s Resident Evil game.

Asylum 626

The site has some very interesting Facebook integration, pulling profile pictures of friends into the site and posting links to your profile asking friends to help.

Asylum 626 Facebook Integration

Once your friend has agreed to help they can shout or type to free you, in my case I was left to rot.

Facebook Help

All in all an excellent website, you can check out www.asylum626.com or watch the trailer.

The site is open from 6pm to 6am, a simple time change on your clock will let you in.
